New York Jets head coach Aaron Glenn has fired six of his assistants, three weeks after the club’s dismal 2025 season ended.

Per Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2, Aaron Glenn has fired six assistant coaches: Quarterbacks coach Charles London, pass game coordinator Scott Turner, defensive assistants Roosevelt Williams and Alonso Escalante, defensive line coach Eric Washington and linebackers coach Aaron Curry.

Last year, the Jets hired Glenn after his successful stint as the Detroit Lions’ defensive coordinator. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reported at the time that it was a five-year deal for Glenn.

New York went 3-14 in Aaron Glenn’s first season. They waved the white flag at the trade deadline, dealing All-Pro cornerback Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts and superstar defensive tackle Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys.

New York holds the NFL’s longest active playoff drought, last qualifying in the 2010 season.

The Jets have lacked coaching stability under Woody Johnson’s ownership. As unhappy as Jets fans were with Glenn in his first season, he was never going to be fired after just one year.

Adam Gase lasted just two years with the Jets. Robert Saleh didn’t even get four years. And in hindsight, it’s clear that Saleh was not the problem for the Jets.

Glenn’s first year with New York left a lot to be desired, yes. But the Jets can’t just change coaches over and over again. Glenn and GM Darren Mougey need at least a couple of years to get their operation in place. Of course, finding a capable starting QB would be a nice start.
