A blockbuster trade proposal has the Cleveland Browns sending superstar defensive end Myles Garrett to an NFC heavyweight in a potential league-altering move.

Earlier this week, the Browns and Myles Garrett restructured his contract, which included reworked language. In short, the restructured deal strongly helps Cleveland’s chances of trading Garrett by reducing the cap charges in such a scenario.

Last year, Garrett initially requested a trade from Cleveland before agreeing to a four-year extension worth $160 million. He responded by winning his second Defensive Player of the Year award, breaking the single-season sack record with 23.

If the Browns and Garrett are exploring a trade behind the scenes, the matter should be resolved sooner rather than later. Surely, the Browns would want to get the highest possible return for Garrett, and the 2026 NFL Draft is only a month away.

Chat Sports proposed a blockbuster trade idea that has Cleveland trading Myles Garrett to the Dallas Cowboys for three first-round picks, including both in this year’s draft:

Dallas obtained the No. 20 pick from the Green Bay Packers in last year’s blockbuster deal for Micah Parsons. So if Jerry Jones wants to make another significant trade, he’s got the draft assets to make it work.

The Browns have only made the postseason twice since drafting Garrett first overall in 2017. They have failed to build a long-term contender around the future Hall of Famer, and there’s little reason for him to stay here for the remainder of his prime years.

Cleveland is nowhere close to championship contention. They’re better off trading Garrett for a king’s ransom while his value is at its highest. Even if they hit on their draft picks in 2026 and 2027, Garrett will be on the wrong side of 30 and nearing the end of his prime.

Add it all up, and the Browns’ best bet is obviously to trade Garrett sooner rather than later. And if he hits the trade block, the Cowboys should definitely make a call to GM Andrew Berry.
