The Arizona Cardinals have been a bad franchise for some time now, but it got even worse after what they did.

The memorial event honoring conservative activist Charlie Kirk was held at State Farm Stadium on September 21, 2025. They did not know it then, but that wouldn’t be the last time fans would be crying inside that stadium.

On Sunday, the team lost at home again, and now their record at State Farm has gotten worse.

The Arizona Cardinals haven’t won a home game since Charlie Kirk was honored at State Farm Stadium. Some 200,000 people turned out to honor Charlie Kirk in September 2025.

Nobody had a clue that the home team would essentially be cursed right after that memorial. The Denver Broncos defeated the Arizona Cardinals 30-16 at State Farm Stadium, dropping Arizona to a 2-5 record.

With that loss, the team has now lost its last 10 home games.

The Arizona Cardinals’ last home win was a 27-22 victory against the Carolina Panthers on September 14, 2025. Before Sunday, the team had drawn a total of 189,030 in-home attendance, averaging 63,010 fans per game. Fans are certainly packing out the stadium, but they haven’t been treated to a home victory in over a year.

They haven’t experienced the playoffs since the 2021 season, when they lost to the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Wild Card Round. Their last playoff win was in 2016.

You can blame Charlie Kirk all you want, but this franchise has been bad for years.
