NFL Fans Are Taking Issue With Shedeur Sanders’ Comments On Donald Trump [VIDEO]
This article was originally published on Total Pro Sports.

Shedeur Sanders has only started in the league, but people already react strongly to everything he does.
The Cleveland Browns’ rookie earned his first career win last week, but now he’s back in the news for something totally different after he publicly thanked President Donald Trump for supporting him.
Trump has praised Sanders for months, especially during his draft slide, and he encouraged teams to pick him. Sanders discussed the support from the President, saying, “He’s definitely been a supporter for a minute, so I’m just thankful for him even taking time out of his day to be able to speak out and support.”
His first game showed both good and bad moments. He completed 11 of 20 passes for 209 yards, a touchdown, and an interception in the win over the Raiders. But no one is worried about his form or stats.

He just fucked everything up, and you know what I’m on the kid: moving forward when white folks disrespect him, let them; when they chastise him, let them. “Thankful” for Trump tells me a lot about who the real Sheduer Sanders is, and as far as I’m concerned, I want to see him…

Although Trump posted about Sanders’ play, he cheered the rookie’s first win and wrote, “Shedeur Sanders was GREAT, Wins first game, career start, as a pro (for Cleveland). Great Genes,I TOLD YOU SO!” on Truth Social.
Shedeur Sanders is now in an odd spot. He attracts attention everywhere he goes, and people expect a lot from him because he’s Deion Sanders’ son. At the same time, he’s still trying to make his place as a young quarterback on a struggling Browns team.
He made his NFL debut a week earlier when he came in for injured rookie Dillon Gabriel. It didn’t go well. He was sacked twice, threw an interception, and completed only 4 of 16 passes in the second half against the Ravens. In his two NFL games so far, Sanders has completed just 41.7% of his passes, and 5.6% of them have been intercepted.
Sanders will start again this week when the Browns play the San Francisco 49ers, fans will be watching him closely on Sunday. They’ll judge how he plays, and what he says.
