NFL Fans Rip Refs For Shocking Decision To Eject Colts Star Alec Pierce For No Reason At All [VIDEO]

It really was a game of two halves for Indianapolis Colts wide receiver Alec Pierce against the Houston Texans on Sunday.
On one hand, he recorded his first 1,000-yard season. On the other hand, he got kicked out of the contest.
Pierce had two touchdown catches to his name. But he was a bit too enthusiastic as he rushed over to a ref to complain after getting pushed out of the back of the end zone. Unfortunately, his left hand made contact with the ref’s arm while he remonstrated, resulting in an ejection.
CBS rules analyst Gene Steratore thought the unsportsmanlike conduct call was understandable, noting that players aren’t allowed to touch referees. J.J. Watt disagreed, however.
“Alec Pierce got ejected for this?? These refs are embarrassing🤦♂️,” Dov Kleiman remarked.

Someone else offered, “Refs completely lost the feel of the game on this one. You cannot decide games like that.”
That is a brutal call. If that is an ejection, then half the league would be gone by halftime every week. No intent, no escalation, just a bang bang football play. Refs completely lost the feel of the game on this one. You cannot decide games like that.

Another said, “I mean, a rule is a rule. Can’t put this on the ref for enforcing the rules. As a player, be smarter. Don’t get near the official.”

Harsh, yeah, agreed. Should they allow the refs some wiggle room in a situation like this? Yeah. But as a player, be smarter.— PolishHammer11 (@RichMainvilleJr) January 4, 2026
The ejection just may have ruined the game for the Colts. They were in control in the fourth quarter, having previously pulled off a stunning double fake punt, but suffered a late collapse, losing 30-38.
