Football fans have had it with Tony Dungy after his bizarre comment on NBC Sports’ Super Bowl 60 broadcast.

Two weeks ago, the football world was stunned to learn that Bill Belichick was snubbed from the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Belichick’s snub makes little sense, considering he has the most Super Bowl victories as a head coach (six) and the third-most wins in history (302).

During the Super Bowl 60 pre-game show, the NBC Sports crew discussed the exclusion of Belichick and Robert Kraft from the 2026 Pro Football Hall of Fame class. Tony Dungy refused to disclose his vote, much to the chagrin of Harrison, one of Belichick’s former players.

Harrison ripped on Dungy (via Awful Announcing):

“He’s been unbelievable. When I look throughout the Hall of Fame, and even a guy like Tom Brady, Tom Brady wouldn’t be Tom Brady without Bill Belichick. That’s the disappointing part of it, Coach, and you guys got it wrong.”

Tell them how you really feel, Rodney.

Fans teed off on Dungy for refusing to disclose his vote.

“shout out Rodney for calling him out to his face. that was a despicable act by the voters,” wrote a user.

“Dungy dodging the Belichick vote question and blaming “the process” is weak. BB’s 6 rings make him first-ballot. Rodney spoke facts,” said a fan.

“I just appreciate the fact that Tony Dungy always handles himself with class. This is another example,” another commented.

“As a colts fan i despise Belichick. As an NFL fan they messed up huge! This makes me lose a lot of respect for dungy and those that get to vote,” a fan quipped.

“What a coward. How is this guy in the hall while Holmgren, Shanahan, Coughlin, and now Belichick aren’t?” a user added.

“I love Harrison calling him out. If Belichick is not a first ballot Hall of Famer then what is Tony Dungy?” wrote a fan.

It was reported that the 73-year-old Belichick only missed out on the Hall of Fame by a single vote. We don’t know how Dungy voted, but it’s certainly interesting that he won’t disclose it.

Dungy and Belichick had many notable clashes during their tenures as head coaches of the Indianapolis Colts and New England Patriots, respectively. One can only hope that their intense rivalry didn’t impact Dungy’s vote.
