The Las Vegas Raiders seem to be running out of options where their search for a new head coach is concerned.

The Raiders are keen on an overhaul, getting rid of Pete Carroll after just one season. They are also expected to have a new quarterback heading into 2026.

Several candidates have taken other jobs elsewhere. Joe Brady and Mike McDaniel are two of the latest. Brady is set to take over as the Buffalo Bills’ head coach, while McDaniel has finalized things with the Los Angeles Chargers as their new offensive coordinator.

Even so, Seattle Seahawks OC Klint Kubiak remains an option and is considered a frontrunner for the job.

Kubiak is headed to the Super Bowl with the Seahawks after his offense trumped the Los Angeles Rams in the conference championship. He’s preparing for the biggest game of his career at the moment, yet it hardly means the Raiders have to end their pursuit.

They can meet with him again before the Super Bowl, after previously interviewing him virtually.

SNY’s Connor Hughes is reporting that the 38-year-old is the favorite candidate in Vegas.

“Other coaching front runners at the moment, per sources: Kubiak to the #Raiders & LaFleur to the#Cardinals,” he wrote on Tuesday.

Raiders minority owner Tom Brady had a front-row seat when Kubiak’s offense tamed the Rams on Sunday. The former superstar quarterback was in the booth for FOX.

He also attended the national title game last week, getting a firsthand look at Fernando Mendoza

The former Indiana quarterback is projected to be the first selection in the upcoming 2026 NFL Draft, while the Raiders own the No. Overall pick. Mendoza has already expressed enthusiasm over possibly playing in Vegas.

Kubiak cannot accept another NFL job until after the Super Bowl. However, the Raiders can meet with him up until February 2 and officially hire him once the game is over.
