Jett Harrison, the son of Pro Football Hall of Famer Marvin Harrison and the younger brother of Marvin Harrison Jr., has emerged as the top recruit for the 2028 class.
On Monday, Rivals300 revealed its list for the top recruits in the class of 2028. Taking the top spot was Jett Harrison, a five-star wide receiver at St. Joseph’s Preparatory School in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Here’s what Charles Power, the Director of Scouting and Rankings at Rivals, said on Harrison:
“Jett Harrison headlines what is an exceptional top of the wide receiver class early on in the 2028 cycle. He is a technically advanced, hyper-polished receiver with an elite combination of ball skills and route running ability.
We saw him make a number of ridiculous contested catches as a sophomore, in addition to showing the ability to create separation at every level of the field. He had a breakout sophomore season with around 15 receiving touchdowns, including a four-touchdown outing against national power, St. Francis Academy.”

Will we have a third member of the Harrison football family in the NFL at some point in the 2030s? Stay tuned.
Sky-High Expectations Lie Ahead For Jett Harrison

Harrison may only be a teenager, but being part of a special football family means insane expectations. Just ask Texas Longhorns quarterback Arch Manning.
His father is one of the greatest wide receivers in NFL history. Marvin Harrison earned eight Pro Bowl nods and finished with 1,102 catches for 14,580 and 128 touchdowns, helping the Indianapolis Colts to a Super Bowl 41 championship in 2006.
Many regard five-time MVP Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison as the greatest QB-WR combo of all time. The two combined for 112 touchdowns, the most for any duo in NFL history.
Marvin’s son, Marvin Jr., was selected fourth overall by the Arizona Cardinals in 2024. He had a stellar rookie year with 62 receptions for 885 yards and eight touchdowns. Injuries led to a forgettable sophomore year for Marvin Jr., however. In 12 games, he had 41 catches for 608 yards and four touchdowns. Then again, fans and pundits had unrealistic expectations for Harrison when he started his career. It’s not too late for him to reach the hype.
So yes, expectations will be high for Jett throughout high school and college. And who knows? Maybe Jett and Marvin Jr. will play on the same team one day.
