A couple of months after the NFL filed a grievance against the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) over the annual team report card grades, an arbitrator sided with the league. It said the report cards violated the current collective bargaining agreement (CBA) by “disparaging NFL clubs and individuals.” Even after the ruling, the NFLPA said it would continue the survey, but wouldn’t make it public.

On Thursday, ESPN’s Kalyn Kahler obtained this year’s survey results. The Miami Dolphins were ranked first overall by the players. The Minnesota Vikings finished second overall, followed by the Washington Commanders.

“Players consistently describe the organization as ‘the best in the NFL,’” the NFLPA survey read.

This is the third consecutive year receives the honor. They beat the Vikings last year, too, while the Atlanta Falcons closed out the top three.

On the other side of the street, an iconic franchise finished dead last in the team report card grades. Six-time Super Bowl champions, the Pittsburgh Steelers, got the unflattering honor. This is the first time in the four-year history of the survey that Pittsburgh finishes last. They were 28th in 2025.

The AFC North team received low grades in multiple categories, including the newly-added “home field” one.

“[Steelers owner] Art Rooney ranks last in the league for willingness to invest in facilities, a trend reflected in the Steelers’ poor facility ratings across the board,” the survey said.

“Players cite inadequate maintenance and excessive wear from hosting local college and high school games,” the survey said. “Players across the league note the poor condition of the field and emphasize the need for investment to bring it up to standard.”

While some like Woody Johnson weren’t mentioned in the report, it is clear that players want to see changes within the Jets’ organization.
