Philadelphia Eagles coach Nick Sirianni has been under heavy scrutiny for the last couple of seasons. Even during his Super Bowl-winning campaign, fans called for the coach to be fired.
After a disappointing wild-card round exit in the 2025 NFL playoffs, calls mounted asking for Sirianni’s dismissal. His coaching staff has undergone changes this offseason, including the firing of Kevin Patullo as offensive coordinator and the departure of longtime offensive line coach Jeff Stoutland.
Stoutland news turned into something more. Sirianni has been accused of questionable behavior toward the coach during the 2025 season.
Nick Sirianni Reportedly Diminished Coach’s Role During 2025 Season

ESPN’s Tim McManus reported that Nick Sirianni stopped consulting Stoutland on the team’s run designs mid-season. The decision didn’t sit well with Soutland, who happened to be the team’s run game coordinator.
“With the offense stagnant, head coach Nick Sirianni took on a more active role over the latter part of the season. He and then-offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo began incorporating different run designs in an effort to kick start the operation,” McManus wrote.
“Stoutland was not consulted about the changes to what he felt was an appropriate degree, a league source said, to the point where he no longer desired the title of run game coordinator because he felt it no longer fit his job description.”
Soutland spent 13 years with the Eagles, being part of the teams that played in three Super Bowls and won two. With Sean Mannion taking over as offensive coordinator, more changes could be coming.
