Parking Prices For The 2026 NFL Draft Will Blow Your Mind

Parking for the 2026 NFL Draft 2026 in Pittsburgh has become a big concern for fans. Hotel prices were already very high for April 23 to 25, and now parking costs are making things worse.
Reports say some parking spots near the event are going for up to $250 per day. Even with small cash discounts, many fans feel the prices are too high. Because of this, some people are thinking about changing their plans.
The draft will be held at Acrisure Stadium and Point State Park on the North Shore. Officials expect around 500,000 to 700,000 visitors, which is putting pressure on hotels, roads, and public services.
City leaders are trying to manage the crowd. Pittsburgh Public Schools will close from April 22 to 24. Superintendent Wayne Walters said, “We know it’s not ideal, but it is a reality of a city hosting a big event where we’re expecting about 500,000-700,000 visitors into our city, and it will completely create sort of (an) exciting time, but also some challenging times when we think about accessibility, transportation, and safety.”
Fans Push Back As Parking Costs Rise

Steelers reporter Mark Kaboly raised the issue earlier this week. He pointed out the $250 daily parking rates and noted that even small discounts do little to ease the burden.

Fans have not stayed quiet about the rising costs. Many took to social media to share frustration and disappointment.
“Not worth attending for those prices,” one fan wrote.

Another added, “I’d avoid the Draft with how the world is right now, all eyes on Pittsburgh frightens me.”

Some fans have already canceled their plans. One person said, “I just canceled my hotel room because when I reserved it the day they announced the draft was in Pittsburgh it said free parking. Now it’s saying I have to pay to park. Sounds like space is going to be an issue downtown as well. So I’ll be watching from home.”

The expected crowd has raised concerns beyond cost.
For now, excitement around the NFL Draft remains high. But rising costs, especially for parking, have started to change the conversation. Some fans still plan to attend. Others have already decided to stay home.
