Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have had a busy offseason and not for the best reasons. The Kansas City Chiefs stars came off a disappointing 2025 season, in which they only won six games and lost their quarterback to a season-ending injury.

The front office made a series of moves that will change the roster for the 2026 campaign, but they are also preparing to revamp their ranks to try to compete for a Super Bowl ring again.

In the middle, Travis Kelce’s retirement rumors remain a hot topic in the league, while Mahomes’ recovery from his ACL injury has also turned heads. The star duo was hit with a shocking lawsuit a couple of weeks ago due to the name of their restaurant, “1587 Prime.”

After “1587 Sneakers” tried to close down Mahomes and Kelce’s restaurant, the judge ruled against the sneaker company.

“The judge ruled against 1587 Sneakers, finding the company waited too long after the restaurant opened to request emergency action,” a report from KCTV5 indicated. “The court also raised questions about whether jurisdiction held over a Kansas City-based restaurant.”

The lawsuit is still active, and the court may change the ruling later. The sneaker company alleged that the name of the restaurant caused confusion among potential customers, and prompted people to call them, thinking they would communicate with Mahomes and Kelce’s restaurant.
