Kansas City Chiefs star quarterback Patrick Mahomes enjoys his offseason while he recovers from the first serious injury in his stellar career. Mahomes suffered a season-ending knee injury in Week 15 of the 2025 NFL season against the Los Angeles Chargers.

He continues his recovery process. In the meantime, Mahomes has spent quality time with his family, going to the beach with his wife and kids.

Additionally, he has tuned into the still-young 2026 NCAA tournament, watching some incredible games in the first couple of days of action. On Friday, Mahomes watched a thrilling matchup between the No. 7 Kentucky Wildcats and the No. 10 Santa Clara Broncos.

After Kentucky tied the game at 70 with 9.9 left, Santa Clara took the lead with Allen Graves’ 3-pointer with 2.6 left. When everything seemed done for the Wildcats, Otega Oweh took the ball and hit a 32-foot jumper to send the game to overtime and the fans into a frenzy.

Mahomes caught a glimpse of that sequence and shared his thoughts on it on social media.

“Hahah Wow Kentucky!! 🤣,” Mahomes wrote on X.

The Wildcats won the game in overtime, 89-84, to punch their ticket to the second round. Oweh finished with 35 points in 43 minutes, adding eight rebounds and seven assists. Elijah Mani led the Broncos with 20 points.

Amid a busy offseason that could get even busier for the Chiefs, Patrick Mahomes has paid close attention to one of the biggest events of the year.
