Patrick Mahomes did not leave Texas after losing to the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday.

The Kansas City Chiefs quarterback could not help his team to a win on Thanksgiving, but he got to spend some of the holiday with his family. A TX native, Mahomes didn’t return home with his teammates after the disheartening defeat, sticking to his roots.

Having come off a remarkable comeback win against the Indianapolis Colts the previous week, Mahomes and the Chiefs didn’t find Dallas as fortuitous, losing 31-28.

His wife, believed to have been mistakenly shown on camera after a Travis Kelce touchdown, shared several photos of their Texas celebrations.

“Getting to spend Thanksgiving with all our family in TX this year is so special,” Brittany Mahomes wrote on her Instagram Story.

Patrick’s mother, Randi, and brother, Jackson, both shared photos of them together, showing the quarterback wearing a Louis Vuitton button-down and light brown pants. His wife wore white pun-striped pants, a white t-shirt under a jacket. Pat’s younger sister, Mia, also joined them.

Meanwhile, the Chiefs are 6-6 following their loss to the Cowboys, and with Mahomes having gone to the AFC Championship game every season since becoming the team’s starting QB, they are in danger of missing the playoffs altogether.

They will look to bounce back and return to winning ways against the Houston Texans next Sunday.
