Patrick Mahomes and Travis Kelce have something new to brag about with their steakhouse, 1587 Prime. Yelp has named the Kansas City steakhouse No. 6 on its list of the top new restaurants of 2026.
The recognition comes less than a year after the two Chiefs stars teamed up with Noble 33 to open the place. The restaurant, located inside the Loews Kansas City Hotel, first opened its doors back in September 2025.
Yelp put the rankings together by checking out how many reviews places got along with their overall star ratings, looking at spots that opened between January 2025 and mid-June 2026. Out of all the new eateries around Kansas City, 1587 Prime was the only one to crack the list.

Yelp highlighted several items from the restaurant’s menu. Those include Foote Ranch beef from Kansas and a 40-ounce Wagyu Tomahawk from Snake River Farms in Idaho.
Mahomes and Kelce teamed up with Noble 33 for the restaurant. The name comes from their Chiefs jersey numbers, with Mahomes wearing No. 15 and Kelce wearing No. 87.
Noble 33 director of hospitality, Sacha Tanha, previously told The Kansas City Star that the idea came after the company met Mahomes and Kelce.

“They both were immediately like, ‘We would love to have something in Kansas City,’” Tanha said. “They both thought a steakhouse would probably make the most sense.”
The Yelp recognition gives the two Chiefs stars something positive to celebrate. However, some customers have questioned the restaurant’s prices and value earlier.
“I’m sorry $800 for one meal is ridiculous,” one fan said.

One Google reviewer praised the restaurant’s look but questioned its menu.
“It’s really beautiful, but there is nothing worth the money on the menu. It’s almost insulting,” the reviewer wrote.
Another person took an even stronger view.
“Save your money. This is a classic ‘let’s start a restaurant because of our reputation’ place. There’s zero soul in the food, menu is boring, and EVERYTHING is over priced,” the reviewer wrote.
The good news from Yelp comes right in the middle of a legal battle over the restaurant’s name.
A footwear and clothing brand called 1587 Sneakers is suing Mahomes, Kelce, and the businesses behind the steakhouse. The company says it has been using the “1587” name since 2023, claiming the restaurant infringed its trademark and damaged its brand.
Mahomes and Kelce have asked the judge to dismiss the lawsuit, but the case is still working its way through federal court in New York.
