Philadelphia Eagles Get Major Injury Update On Pro Bowl Superstar Lane Johnson Ahead Of The Playoffs

The Philadelphia Eagles have received a positive update on offensive tackle Lane Johnson ahead of their Wild Card tilt.
A first-round matchup against the San Francisco 49ers looms, with the NFC outfits set to lock horns on Sunday after Week 18 losses.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni chose to rest most of his starters against the Washington Commanders on Sunday. He justified the decision by pointing out that he will be going into the playoffs with a mostly healthy roster.
Sirianni could also have a player the Eagles have missed for several weeks available again.
Enter Johnson…
The 35-year-old has been out for nearly two months but could be back on Sunday.
According to the Inquirer’s Jeff McLane, the six-time Pro Bowler is expected to return to practice on Wednesday.
“Eagles RT Lane Johnson is expected to practice on Wednesday for the first time since he suffered a Lisfranc foot injury vs. the Lions on Nov. 16, per NFL sources,” McLane reported.
Lane Johnson Still Needs To Test His Right Foot In Practice

There was hope that Johnson could return in Week 15 because the Eagles didn’t place him on the injured reserve. That was not the case.
He also remained sidelined following rumors of a return in Week 16 or 17.
The two-time First-Team All-Pro suffered a nasty knee injury against the Green Bay Packers on November 10 but managed to play on it. His luck ran out a few days later.
McLane adds that Johnson has made good progress, but he needs to test his right foot before the Eagles can decide on his availability.
Johnson has helped the Eagles win two Super Bowls and is one of their most important players. Should he remain out, Fred Johnson will start in his place.
Running back Tank Bigsby has also suggested he could be an option after a remarkable block against the Washington Commanders on Sunday.
