Philadelphia Eagles Make Big Move That’s a Clear Hint At Their Plans For AJ Brown

After an offseason full of rumors and speculation, the Philadelphia Eagles reportedly made a final decision on Brown. They won’t trade him at this moment, but the door isn’t completely closed on a potential move in a couple of months.
However, the Eagles continue to make moves that make it seem that they have no intention of moving from the former Tennessee Titans star. After a tumultuous 2025 season, several teams were linked with Brown.
The New England Patriots and the Los Angeles Rams were the last two in the race. The Rams ruled themselves out of it, while the Patriots appear to have everything ready to land Brown in a couple of months. Or so we thought.
Eagles’ Latest Move Says A Lot About AJ Brown’s Future

On Tuesday, the Eagles signed wide receiver Elijah Moore to a one-year deal. Before the move, they added Marquise Brown to the room. NFL reporter Cameron Wolfe noted that Moore and AJ Brown have a strong connection since their college days.
“Worth noting Elijah Moore is very close friends with A.J. Brown. They were teammates at Univ of Mississippi. Brown credits Moore for helping him through a period of depression & mental health struggles. Moore credits Brown for mentoring him on the field & brother-like bond,” Wolfe tweeted.

This could be part of the team’s strategy to make Brown happy and put the trade rumors to rest. Moore is still young and will add depth to a solid wide receiver unit. Perhaps this can change the situation for Brown, whose future is anybody’s guess.
