Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray has been a popular name in trade rumors for a couple of years now. With Jonathan Gannon out of the Cardinals, the front office will likely make more changes soon.

Murray would be one of those changes, as his time with the Cards has been rather disappointing. Murray has led the team to the playoffs only once during his seven-year tenure. Injuries and the resurgence of Jacoby Brissett limited him to only five games in 2025, and trade rumors surrounded him as soon as he hit the bench.

After going 110 of 161 for 962 yards and six touchdowns with three interceptions, Murray could start 2026 on a different team. At least four could give them the option to start fresh after a rocky stint with the NFC West franchise.

Murray was mentioned in a blockbuster trade proposal that would send him to the Las Vegas Raiders in exchange for Maxx Crosby. His trade value has increased in recent times, which could draw a big package for the former No. 1 pick.

CBS Sports’ Tyler Sullivan wrote on Thursday that the Pittsburgh Steelers, Minnesota Vikings, Miami Dolphins and New York Jets could have interest in Murray.

Sullivan notes that his situation needs to be solved before March 15th. If he stays on the Cardinals roster by that time, his $19.7 million base salary for 2027 becomes fully guaranteed. With Fernando Mendoza being the only strong quarterback in this year’s class, more teams will look around the league to find a play caller who serves as a bridge.

Murray could be that guy for these teams. He needs a change of scenary, and if put in the right position, he could revive his career.
