Police Officer Had To Perform Wellness Check On Philadelphia Eagles Fan After OT Loss To Chargers On ‘Monday Night Football’ [VIDEO]

A Philadelphia Eagles fan was so dejected about the club’s loss to the Los Angeles Chargers on ‘Monday Night Football’ that his loved ones called for a police officer to perform a wellness check.
The Philadelphia Eagles turned the ball over five times in a heartbreaking 22-19 loss to the Bolts on Monday night. This included an instance where Jalen Hurts turned the ball over twice on the same play, having fumbled his own recovery after an interception.
Philadelphia was on the cusp of winning, facing a 1st-and-10 situation at the Chargers’ 17-yard line. But Hurts got careless and threw a game-sealing interception to Tony Jefferson, securing the Eagles’ second straight loss.
The Eagles are 10 months removed from a Super Bowl championship. They’re still a virtual lock to make the playoffs. And Monday’s loss to the Chargers wasn’t even a playoff game. And yet, one fan apparently left his loved ones a little too concerned after the loss.
A viral video shows a police officer arriving at the home of an Eagles fan named Jake Beckman. The cop says that folks were concerned about his Facebook post after the loss, but Jake insists he’s doing okay and had no plans to harm himself:

Remember, folks, it’s just a game.
Philadelphia Eagles Are Still A Safe Bet To Make Playoffs

The Philadelphia Eagles have been so desperate for help that they tried to claim old friend Darius Slay off waivers. The Buffalo Bills had priority and wound up claiming Slay, but he opted not to play for them and is now pondering his future.
At 8-5, Philadelphia is still in a good spot to lock down a fifth straight playoff appearance. ESPN’s computer model gives them a 91.7 percent chance of making the postseason, and a league-best 91.4 percent chance of winning their division.
Three of Philadelphia’s final four games are against NFL bottom-feeders: The Las Vegas Raiders and two meetings with the Washington Commanders. Go 3-0 in those games, and the division is theirs.
