Bad Bunny fans have speculated whether another superstar would join him for his performance at the Super Bowl for months. You can now cross one of them off the list.

J Balvin and Bunny are frequent collaborators. Bunny will be performing at the upcoming Super Bowl 60 halftime show. Turning Point USA, the conservative nonprofit founded by the late Charlie Kirk, became the most vocal critic of that decision when it was announced. They went as far as to schedule an ‘All-American Halftime Show’ to counter his Super Bowl halftime show.

Because of his selection, some NFL fans pushed for a “boycott” of the Super Bowl 60 Halftime Show. The heat surrounding his performance has died in recent months. Now, people are just wondering about what show he will put on.

It’s bad news for fans of both J Balvin and Bad Bunny. The Colombian singer confirmed he won’t be making an appearance as a special guest during the Puerto Rican rapper’s Super Bowl halftime performance. That was confirmed to a TMZ reporter on video.

This news comes weeks after both appeared together at a surprise reunion at Bad Bunny’s concert in Mexico City. He did say he’ll “be there definitely to support him” amid reconciliation with his “Oasis” collaborator.

“It took time. We both grew up. We’re grown men now. And it’s beautiful to be back together and be happy for his success,” he said, adding that he’s looking forward to seeing “my boy to kill it and destroy it. I want him to take over the whole Super Bowl and show the world what Latinos are made of.”

Feud rumors between the two kicked off in 2023 when Bunny released his fifth album, “Nadie Sabe Lo Que Va a Pasar Mañana.” On the song “Thunder y Lightning,” Bunny called out Balvin. He said, “You’ve seen me, I’m always hanging with the same people. While you’re friends with everyone, like Balvin.”

Shortly after the song’s release, Balvin responded on Instagram Live. He told fans, “I don’t understand what was going through his head, but, well, the guy I know is a good person.” During their most recent outing, they apologized to each other for any past disrespect in their relationship.
