Baltimore Ravens Coach John Harbaugh was fired by the team on Tuesday after 18 years.
President Donald Trump, a longtime football fan, reacted to the firing on Wednesday. He and Harbaugh have a relationship. Harbaugh and several family members, including Jim, were invited to the White House last year. He caught major backlash for it online.
During his media availability at Ravens training camp, a reporter appeared to criticize him for his decision, framing a question about his visit to see Donald Trump. John Harbaugh called out the reporter for the framing of the question and insisted that he “roots” for the President. “How you framed that question — I would have framed that question like: ‘You got a chance to go visit with the President, man. What was that experience like?” Harbaugh said.
Donald Trump Wants John Harbaugh To Be Hired Soon

Now Trump is rooting for him. President Donald Trump is now giving out advice to NFL franchises. Harbaugh is now available to any team with a head coaching vacancy. Trump believes Harbaugh is the No. 1 candidate on the market. He encouraged any team to hire him and do it quickly.
“HIRE JOHN HARBAUGH, FAST,” Trump posted on Truth Social. “HE, AND HIS BROTHER, ARE TOTAL WINNERS!!! President DJT.”

He is not wrong when it comes to saying that the Harbaughs are winners. John guided the Ravens to a 180-113 record across 18 seasons. He led them to 12 trips to the postseason and a Super Bowl XLVII victory over the San Francisco 49ers.
Unfortunately, they never got back to the Super Bowl. However, they made three additional appearances in the AFC Championship Game.
Ravens owner Steve Bisciotti on Tuesday described Harbaugh as a “Hall of Fame” worthy coach. He said the decision to part ways was a “difficult” one. It was Bisciotti who signed Harbaugh to a three-year contract extension.
Harbaugh immediately becomes a prime target for other teams with a head coaching vacancy. Those teams include the Browns, Falcons, and Giants.
