Las Vegas Raiders owner Mark Davis has addressed the Maxx Crosby blockbuster trade with the Baltimore Ravens that ultimately fell through.

Last month, the Raiders agreed to a blockbuster trade that would have sent Maxx Crosby to the Ravens for two first-round picks. In a stunning twist, however, the Ravens nixed the trade after Crosby failed a physical.

Crosby was reportedly “giddy” about joining the Ravens. But after Baltimore nixed the trade, he emphasized that he was happy to stay with the Raiders. And at this time, there are no indicators that Las Vegas is still trying to trade the five-time Pro Bowler.

Speaking to Paul Gutierrez of Raiders.com at the Annual League Meetings in Phoenix, Mark Davis was asked about the possibility of Crosby getting traded down the line. Davis simply emphasized his excitement about Crosby staying put:

“I would say you should talk to (GM) John (Spytek) and Maxx and (head coach) Klint (Kubiak). As I said, I never wanted Maxx to leave, so I’m glad that he’s back and I’m glad that we got Tyler Linderbaum. So I think we got out of that pretty well.”

At this phase, the Raiders will probably have to receive a can’t-miss offer to trade their franchise star before the start of the season.

Mark Davis’ Raiders Should Be Much Better In 2026

The Raiders were one of the busiest teams last offseason. They hired Super Bowl-winning head coach Pete Carroll, traded for Pro Bowl quarterback Geno Smith, and used the No. 6 pick on can’t-miss running back prospect Ashton Jeanty.

Las Vegas instead cratered to the bottom of the standings, finishing 3-14. The good news is that things can only get better now that Kubiak is calling the offense. And of course, Indiana QB Fernando Mendoza is about to be taken with the No. 1 pick.

They won’t compete for a playoff spot in 2026. Still, the Raiders should be a lot more entertaining to watch. After all, things couldn’t possibly be as bad as what we saw in 2025.
