Raiders Superstar Maxx Crosby Breaks His Silence On Trade Rumors With Surprising Response

Las Vegas Raiders star defensive end Maxx Crosby had a fascinating response to the latest rumors that he’s on his way out.
On Wednesday, it was reported that Maxx Crosby’s time with the Raiders is likely over. A separate report indicated that Crosby’s preferred landing spot is the AFC Champion New England Patriots.
Crosby trade speculation ramped up ahead of the Raiders’ Week 17 game against the New York Giants. Before that game, news broke that an unhappy Crosby left the team facility after being told he would be shut down for the club’s last two contests.
Well, it didn’t take too long for Crosby to finally address the latest speculation surrounding his future with the Raiders.
During an appearance on “The Herd with Colin Cowherd”, Maxx Crosby said that the trade talk is “news” to him (via ESPN) and strongly indicated he’s happy where he is:
“Now that I’m quiet, I’ve got random people making big statements for me. They’re like, ‘Maxx must’ve told them this.’ For me, I just sit back and laugh because I know my truth and when I go to bed at night, I have a smile on my face because I don’t have to explain nothing to nobody.
“I’m getting healthy. I’m in the building every single day. I’m in this building from 6 a.m. when it’s dark out, and I’m here until almost 2…That’s all I care about, so all the noise, that’s news to me sometimes.”
Not all NFL stars publicly request trades like Micah Parsons. And even if Crosby wants to stay in Las Vegas, it doesn’t mean the front office will keep him. We’ll just have to wait and see where this all goes.
Maxx Crosby & Raiders Are Better Off Splitting In The Offseason

The Raiders have had seven years now to build a long-term winner under Crosby. Despite his world-class talent and production, the long-struggling franchise has qualified for the postseason only once (2021). They’ve also lost double-digit games in three of the last four years.
At this rate, Las Vegas is better off trading Crosby while his value is at its highest. They would certainly get at least one first-round pick. And if you’re Crosby, why sign up for a lengthy rebuild and have the rest of your prime go to waste?
Add it all up, and it’s obvious that the best bet is for the Raiders to trade Crosby. And he should be keen on playing for a Super Bowl contender at this phase of his career.
