The Los Angeles Rams have announced the retirement of another member of their Super Bowl-winning squad in Darious Williams.
Offensive tackle Rob Havenstein called it quits in early February, and Williams is now set to follow after an eight-year career.
The Rams placed the former UAB star on the reserve/retired list before confirming his retirement on Saturday.
“The team announced Saturday that it had placed Williams on the reserve/retired list,” ESPN reports.
Darious Williams Did Well For Himself After Going Undrafted

Williams went undrafted in 2018 but went on to play well beyond the average NFL career, having played his college football at Division III Marietta and later at UAB.
He began his NFL journey with the Baltimore Ravens before the Rams claimed him off waivers. He was a starter on the Super Bowl-winning squad in 2021, leading the team with eight tackles in their win over the Cincinnati Bengals.
Williams gave a great account of himself whenever healthy. Even so, he has decided to retire with one year left on his Rams contract.
His decision follows the team trading for Trent McDuffie.
Darious Williams retires with 12 career interceptions, one of which was returned for a touchdown. He also recorded two fumble recoveries and 306 tackles.
