NFL star linebacker James Pearce Jr. was arrested Saturday. It came after he fled a domestic dispute and crashed his vehicle during a police chase.

Officers were initially dispatched to DPD headquarters for a reported dispute between a male and a female. It turns out that the Falcons’ linebacker had an altercation with Rickea Jackson. She is a star on the Los Angeles Sparks.

Police said Pearce fled the scene and later crashed at Northwest 103rd Avenue and 66th Street before being placed in handcuffs. Video footage showed many officers having to gang tackle him to the ground to get the job done.

James Pearce was booked into Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center, with his bond yet to be set.

Now, social media is diving into his life with Rickea Jackson. That has brought many to remember when he was drafted.

Atlanta Falcons edge rusher James Pearce Jr. was arrested on multiple charges.

“We are aware of an incident involving James Pearce Jr. in Miami,” the Falcons said in a statement. We are in the process of gathering more information and will not have any further comment on an open legal matter at this time.”

In the meantime, fans are bringing up a moment from last year when he was drafted. It was hard not to notice his behavior towards Rickea Jackson.

Pearce is facing charges of two counts of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon, and one count each of aggravated stalking and fleeing or eluding police with lights or siren.
