The Seattle Seahawks are going to great lengths to prevent opposing teams’ fans from invading Lumen Field in the playoffs.

Mike Macdonald’s Seahawks completed their tremendous regular season with a 13-3 win over the archrival San Francisco 49ers to win the NFC West for the first time since the 2020 campaign. They also locked down the NFC’s top seed and first-round bye with a 14-3 record.

While the Seattle Seahawks wait for their Divisional Round opponent, the club is warning season ticket holders against re-selling their playoff tickets. Otherwise, the consequences could be serious.

According to multiple fans, the Seahawks sent a warning to season ticket holders who attempted to resell their playoff tickets: If they don’t remove their ticket resale listings, they may have the option to renew their 2026 season tickets revoked.

“Excellent work,” another said.

Seahawks journalist Brian Nemhauser confirmed that the Seahawks did, indeed, send this memo out.

The last two times a new Pope was elected, the Seahawks went on to reach the Super Bowl. Will history three-peat over the next couple of weeks? Stay tuned.

The Seahawks will face the Green Bay Packers in the Divisional Round if Jordan Love and company upset the Chicago Bears. If the Bears win and the San Francisco 49ers upset the Philadelphia Eagles? San Fran will travel to Seattle. They could also face the Los Angeles Rams or the Carolina Panthers.

ESPN’s computer model gives Seattle the best chance to win the Super Bowl at 19.2 percent, followed by the Rams at 13.8 percent. They went 6-2 at home, losing to the 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Seattle has gone on to win the NFC Championship in each of the three years it held the No. 1 seed (2005, 2013 and 2014). History is on their side, but only time will tell if they can finish the job.
