The Seattle Seahawks went through a couple of changes during the 2026 NFL offseason. Fresh off a Super Bowl 60 win, the NFC West franchise remains a strong favorite to win it all again next season, but they could get even better, especially on defense.
During Friday’s edition of The MMQB NFL podcast, insider Albert Breer shared an update on the Las Vegas Raiders’ approach before they trade Crosby again. Seattle showed interest in the pass rusher before.
“If he’s going to be traded, I think it’s going to have to come after Maxx Crosby gets back on the field and plays really well,” Breer said. “So people will forget about everything that just happened.”
As of right now, the team is focused on fixing the relationship with the defender.
“It also makes it easier to go out and trade for him again. That’s not a bad place for the Raiders to be, either,” Breer added. “When you look at where they are, it’s like, ‘OK, Maxx is going to help build a culture, and they’ll move forward as if he’s part of the team.’”
Can Seattle Seahawks Go For Maxx Crosby?

According to Over The Cap, the Seahawks still have $37.8 million in cap space. Adding Crosby would eat up $30 million right away. They could restructure some deals or send some players to Las Vegas to free up cap space.
However, it is up to Seattle to decide whether it is a good option to add Crosby to the roster. Injuries have bothered him in recent seasons, and the way the Baltimore Ravens backed out of his trade raised some eyebrows around the league.
They parted ways with some of their most expensive players, which makes it hard to imagine they could try something with Crosby.
