As they continue to prepare for Super Bowl 60, Seattle Seahawks fans saw one of their best players limping after practice. Nick Emmanwori was seen limping into his hotel on Wednesday after he suffered an injury.

The rookie safety injured his ankle during Wednesday’s practice while he was defending a pass. Fortunately, he could walk off on his own power. Still the situation sounded the alarms within the Seahawks, who could be without one of their best defender.

Seattle lost RB Zach Charbonnet to a season-ending torn ACL in the 41-6 blowout win over the San Francisco 49ers in the divisional round. The Patriots also deal with issues, but the Seahawks are already down one key player. Amid concerns surrounding Emmanwori, head coach Mike Macdonald shared an update.

Despite worrying fans with his limping, Nick Emmanwori appears to be ready to take the field on Sunday. Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald announced on Thursday that the safety will be ready to go at Levi’s Stadium.

“Seahawks HC Mike Macdonald told reporters that S Nick Emmanwori suffered a low-ankle sprain Wednesday, but he is “confident” that he will play in Sunday’s Super Bowl,” NFL insider Adam Schefter shared.

Avoiding a serious injury is a major win for Emmanwori. However, the questions now shift to how healthy he will be for Sunday’s game. He is a strong piece for the Seahawks’ secondary, one of their best units.

The game is set to start at 6:30 p.m. EST in Santa Clara, California.
