Shannon Sharpe has come under fire after allowing a comedian to body shame Taylor Swift during his ‘Club Shay Shay’ podcast.

The former NFL tight end’s show set the stage for Katt Williams to go after Hollywood in 2024.

The incendiary interview set Sharpe on an upward trajectory, yet he lost his momentum after a woman accused him of rape in a bombshell lawsuit.

He has since settled, agreeing to pay an undisclosed amount believed to be north of $20 million.

Sharpe lost his job at ESPN but maintains a presence in non-mainstream media, keeping up appearances on said podcast. He also runs the popular ‘Nightcap’ podcast with former NFL wide receiver Chad Johnson.

Normand was a guest on ‘Club Shay Shay’ this week and took some wild shots at the pop star.

“We’ve seen his exes,” he said of Travis Kelce. “Compared to old surfboard body here. I mean, not to besmirch the lady, but that’s quite a jump in type.”

“I only know that was his last girl. I don’t know anybody that he dated before her – Kayla,” Sharpe replied after laughing. “But sometimes I think the people that say, ‘Oh, he fumbled. He fumbled.’ I mean, if somebody makes you happier, is that a fumble?”

Normand wasn’t done…

“But I wonder if he misses that fat a**,” he said. “I think [Swift] should get a BBL.”

You can see the moment in the clip below:

“I find it really rich that Mark Normand would make jokes about Taylor Swift needing to get a BBL for her fiancé’s sake when his own wife has a public Instagram and … well you can fill in the blanks,” someone shared.

“It is pathetic that a platform like Club Shay Shay has to rely on body shaming famous women just to stay relevant in an algorithm that rewards bottom of the barrel commentary over genuine humor,” said another.

“This is so f**king weird. @ShannonSharpe you claim Travis as a friend? Uncalled for and unf**king necessary,” someone else commented.

While Sharpe can’t be blamed for Normand’s comments – he wouldn’t have had any idea what the comedian was going to say – could he have shut the unnecessary criticism down?
