Cleveland Browns quarterback Shedeur Sander has offered a reaction on the back of a surprising achievement following his rookie season.
Sanders, who became the Browns’ starting quarterback toward the back end of the 2025 campaign, was selected as a Pro Bowler on Monday. The former Colorado star slots in as a replacement for Drake Maye.
Maye will be going to the Super Bowl with the New England Patriots. Consequently, he will not feature in the games.
Sanders is set to go in his stead as the AFC’s third QB.
The 23-year-old admittedly did not set the world alight in his first professional term but remains very popular among fans. Much like his father, Deion Sanders, Shedeur is a cultural icon.
His jersey was among the top sellers in the NFL while he was a third-stringer in Cleveland.
He earned enough votes from fans to be named a Pro Bowler due to his buzz, while there was much to praise about his play.
Shedeur Sanders Reacts To Pro Bowl Selection

Sanders broke his silence on the selection on Tuesday.
“Thank you God,” he was quoted as saying by ESPN’s Daniel Oyefusi. “I’m beyond excited and grateful for all the love and support from the coaches, players, and fans. This wouldn’t be possible without the support behind me. Still plenty of work to do.”
Shedeur Sanders joined the Browns as the 144th overall pick out of Colorado in 2025. He started the season behind Joe Flacco and Dillon Gabriel.
He would play in eight games, seven of which were starts.
Sanders completed 56.6 percent of his passes for 1,400 yards, seven touchdowns and 10 interceptions.
The Browns finished the season with a 5-12 record.
They ultimately fired head coach Kevin Stefanski, who has since been hired as the HC in Atlanta.
Falcons fans have already begun criticizing him because of his treatment of Shedeur.
Meanwhile, the Browns are struggling to hire a new head coach.
