Despite a dramatic slide in the 2025 NFL draft, Shedeur Sanders became a very popular player in the league. The Cleveland Browns quarterback went from being a projected top-20 pick to the 144th slot in the fifth round of the draft.

While he only secured an average annual salary of $1.005 million, Sanders found different ways to add to his bank account.

On Saturday, he broke a record with one of his income sources during the 2025 season.

The NFL Players Association’s annual report stated that Sanders earned a record-shattering $17.7 million in group licensing income during the campaign.

Tom Brady owned the prior record with $9.5 million in the 2021-2022 season.

“Sanders is listed under the name of his limited liability corporation, SS2Legendary, which is also his Instagram handle. By comparison, in the 2024-2025 NFL season, J.J. McCarthy led all players with $4 million through his LLC Newberry Raised.”

The group licensing includes “deals that include six or more players, the most typical of which are jerseys, trading cards, video games, and other collectibles.”

Shedeur Sanders made the most of his opportunities. It will be hard to see somebody get close to that number.
