Shedeur Sanders’ mom, Pilar Sanders, has been accused of displaying inappropriate behavior during the Cleveland Browns game on Sunday.

Pilar has been her son’s most vocal cheerleader this season. She has been a regular presence in the stands since he began getting playing time.

The 51-year-old married Deion Sanders in 1999, but their relationship ended in an ugly divorce in 2013. Apart from Shedeur, they have two other children together. Her other son, Shilo Sanders, went undrafted and was later released after a stint with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Her daughter, Shelomi Sanders, plays basketball at Alabama A&M.

As fans are aware, Shedeur was a fifth-round pick in this year’s NFL Draft. He has since earned the starting job in Cleveland and had a solid outing against the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, albeit in a loss.

The rookie quarterback registered 364 passing yards, three touchdowns, and one interception, adding 29 rushing yards and another score.

Pilar, who has trended for her gameday outfits this season, was not happy with the coaching on Sunday. And one can certainly understand.

Her son was taken out of the game for the final play, an attempt at a two-point conversion, which ultimately proved futile.

She went off on head coach Kevin Stefanski and his staff over a play that took place before what’s mentioned above.

“You know, this (expletive) wildcat is bull (expletive),” she said in one of them.

“We r all done with seeing this four so many reason cuz we ALL SEE,” she said in another.

“See what happens when you don’t do wildcat. TOUCHDOWN,” she said after Shedeur threw a touchdown pass.

Of course, her behavior was criticized.

“Unfortunately, it’s this outside noise from the Sanders family, including his famous Pro Football Hall of Fame, two-time Super Bowl champion father, that hurts Shedeur’s chances to be a starting NFL quarterback long term,” Sports Illustrated’s Matthew Graham wrote in an article titled, “Shedeur Sanders’ mom Pilar’s deleted rant at Browns coaches is son’s big headache”

“Most NFL teams don’t want to deal with it. That’s part of the reason Shedeur was the 144th overall selection. The Browns especially, who are still dealing with the fallout disaster of the Deshaun Watson trade and his $230 million fully guaranteed contract, are especially sensitive.”

Shedeur was way more diplomatic, admitting he wanted to be involved in the final play but understood the coach’s decision.

“I wish I would always have the ball in my hands but that’s not what football is,” he said. “I would never go against what the call was.”
