Shilo Sanders has plenty of time on his hands following his unsuccessful bid to secure an NFL contract.

The former Colorado safety tried out snowboarding during the Winter Olympics but quit immediately after getting wiped out.

He says he’s now spending his time playing ‘Call of Duty’.

Shilo seems like the type of person who would have a smile on his face while fleeing a burning house. He would probably have a few jokes to make about the experience at the first sighting of a camera.

With the U.S. currently involved in another Middle Eastern conflict, the safety quipped that he’s playing ‘CoD’ to stay sharp in case he gets drafted for military service.

“I’m not going to lie, this is real life…They said we’re going to war soon, so I gotta get right,” he said during a Twitch stream.

By the looks of things, he’s going to need to put in some more hours.

Check him out below:

“We all know he don’t know much about being drafted😭,” one fan joked.

“Sounds fair. I’ve been playing Madden for when a team calls me to be their new star athlete,” another chimed in.

“Not trusting you with a gun, same way the Bucs didnt trust you to defend,” one comment read.

“lol…..his rich daddy will get him out of if, if it came to it. Just like Vietnam when so many rich parents got their kids out of the draft,” someone else claimed.

One user took issue with Dov Kleiman’s caption.

“Former Bucs Star??” he asked. “Lol that’s some real rage bait. Gotta respect the game.”

Shilo Sanders’s NFL Hopes Smothered After Going To War In Preseason Game

Shilo’s football career didn’t quite pan out the way he had hoped.

A promising safety at South Carolina, Jackson State and Colorado, he went undrafted last year.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers offered him a lifeline, signing him to an undrafted free agent contract. However, they released him less than a day after he punched an opponent and got thrown out of a preseason game.

“You can’t throw punches in this league, that’s inexcusable,” head coach Todd Bowles said after the game.

To make matters worse, the NFL fined him $4,669 for his unnecessary roughness penalty.
