The Buffalo Bills will play on the road in the Wild Card round. During Week 18, they played the final regular-season game at Highmark Stadium.

They could realistically host a future playoff game. That would require them to win their road games and for other lower seeds to pull off major upsets. They would have to face the Chargers in the AFC Championship game. That has a very slim chance of happening.

Josh Allen ran out of the Highmark Stadium tunnel one final time on Sunday. He took one snap and his day was over. To close out the stadium, the Bills beat the Jets 35-8. Backup Mitch Trubisky threw four touchdown passes, including two to Gabe Davis.

It wouldn’t be Highmark Stadium without the Buffalo Bills fan base. One moment captured the essence of Bills Mafia. A shirtless fan in the stands did not care about how he looked. he simply waved his shirt and let his body flow in the cold air.

The Bills’ new stadium facility is taking shape, but there were issues just last month. Highmark Stadium was on fire, but luckily, there was no major damage to the stadium.

It was a $2.1 billion project. Owners Terry and Kim Pegula are responsible for picking up the more than $560 million in overruns. It will sit across from the old venue and plans to open for the 2026 season.

Earlier this year, the team shared beautiful artist renderings of New Highmark Stadium. The site spans approximately 242 acres, and the building footprint measures 1.35 million square feet. HighMark will feature natural grass, not artificial turf.

Under the playing surface is a full heating and irrigation system for the Buffalo Bills. It is designed to maintain the sole and turf at a constant temperature in the low 60s, according to the Democrat and Chronicle.

The perfect way to open the new stadium for the Buffalo Bills would be with a Super Bowl.
