A playful video featuring Detroit Lions rookie defensive tackle Tyleik Williams has been making the rounds on social media.
The lighthearted clip shows Williams jokingly giving his girlfriend a quick slap during what appears to be a playful interaction, sparking plenty of reactions online.
Williams’ girlfriend wrote in her post, “Got CTE now.”
The Detroit Lions drafted Williams with the 28th overall pick in the first round of the 2025 NFL Draft. He was taken due to his elite run-stuffing ability, impressive agility for his size, and elite college production at Ohio State.
Williams spent four seasons in college, progressing from an explosive rotational freshman into the defensive anchor of a national championship team. Over 51 games, he accumulated 136 total tackles, 28 tackles for loss, and 11.5 sacks.

Early in his college career, Williams worked with Ohio State’s nutrition staff to drop from 360 pounds down to a more functional 317 pounds. This commitment to conditioning changed everything for him.
During the 2025 NFL regular season, rookie defensive tackle Tyleik Williams served primarily as a reliable, rotational piece on the interior defensive line. He appeared in all 17 games, making 10 starts.
Williams had 18 total tackles and 1 sack. Playing behind established veterans Alim McNeill and DJ Reader, Williams mostly focused on absorbing double teams and eating space against the run.
However, his late-season conditioning issues limited his overall snap counts and production. Hopefully, he has that under control, and a breakout year is on the horizon.
