In court papers, Haley Kalil is now requesting that her ex-husband Matt Kalil’s lawsuit be dismissed.
The Sports Illustrated Swimsuit alum has been in hot water after Matt filed a lawsuit against her. It was due to her publicly discussing the size of his penis. The former Minnesota Vikings player alleged that Haley provided “invasive commentary” and drew “unwanted attention” to him.
He is seeking damages of upwards of $75,000. Haley claimed during the livestream that the size of Matt’s manhood was the “biggest factor” in their 2022 divorce.
Now, Haley is asking a judge to dismiss that lawsuit, and she is pointing to a shocking reason.
Haley Kalil Pleads With Judge to Dismiss Ex Matt Kalil’s Lawsuit
Model Haley Kalil filed a motion for the dismissal of ex Matt Kalil’s lawsuit against her following comments she made about the size of his penis.
According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Haley is requesting that the presiding judge dismiss Kalil’s invasion-of-privacy and unjust-enrichment lawsuit against her. She is bringing up her First Amendment right.
“Plaintiff’s Complaint seeks to hold a woman in the public eye civilly liable for providing a truthful, autobiographical account of sexual trauma she suffered and described as having led to the end of a highly publicized celebrity marriage with an NFL football star,” the docs read. “Allowing this case to proceed as pled would require this Court to radically expand state-law causes of action beyond their recognized boundaries into territory fiercely protected by the First Amendment.”
Kalil described the relationship as a “loving union that was ultimately hindered by an unfortunate physical incompatibility,” and noted that she repeatedly “praised his character and the quality of their marriage.”
“She unequivocally described the Plaintiff as ‘the greatest guy in the world,’” the court papers stated.
Haley Kalil added that they divorced due to a “specific anatomical incompatibility that rendered a normal sexual relationship impossible,” despite years of “desperate” attempts to save their marriage.
She further argued that Kalil’s lawsuit “ignores the dominant theme of the speech and instead attempts to isolate the narrow subset of statements concerning the size of Plaintiff’s genitalia, asserting that those remarks were offensive and treating them as though they constituted the entirety of what was communicated.”
Earlier this month, Kalil’s lawyer took a swipe at the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit model.
‘Hayley Kalil shared these sensitive personal details about her ex-husband in an apparent quest to seek fortune and fame,’ he said.
‘Her actions were extreme, outrageous, beyond all possible bounds of decency, and have caused substantial harm to Matt Kalil, his family, and his business.’
A judge has yet to make a decision.
