Nobody knew the name of Jahdae Walker before Saturday. Less than a minute to play against the Packers, everybody knew it.

The Bears’ wide receiver, an undrafted rookie, had never caught a pass in his NFL career before Saturday night. He made his first one a memorable one.

D.J. Moore caught the game-winning touchdown in overtime. It wouldn’t have been possible with Walker’s touchdown grab 24 seconds in regulation. Chicago needed a touchdown to keep the game alive. Caleb Williams went for his undrafted rookie in clutch time.

In a game where the Packers lost Jordan Love to a head injury, the Bears had to win this game. Jahdae Walker was wide open in the end zone. Caleb Williams made a great throw on the run to tie the game at 16 and force overtime.

Following his touchdown, Walker then amazed everyone with his touchdown celebration. He basically glided across the field like a magician.

With 24 seconds left, the Chicago Bears faced fourth and four at the Packers’ 6-yard line. Caleb Williams dropped back. Then tossed a pass to undrafted rookie receiver Jahdae Walker. The rookie hauled in the 6-yard touchdown and saved the Bears’ season in real time.

He then delivered again with his amazing touchdown celebration. Social media loved it.

“Optical illusion, brother,” one fan said.

“It’s like the moonwalk. We can only observe the magique,” a second fan wrote.

“It’s like moon walking in the forward direction. Look at the back foot. It’s still on the ground,” a third fan stated.

“That celebration was the MVP of the game!” one final fan commented.

Walker caught two of three targets for 21 yards and a touchdown in the Bears’ 22-16 overtime win. He played 27 percent of the snaps with Rome Odunze and Luther Burden out.

Ben Johnson shared an inspired message about Walker at the post-game press conference.

“To the people that haven’t been in the building that say, ‘Oh my gosh, you’re going to the undrafted rookie on fourth down’ — well, we see what he does every single week,” Johnson said. “We see how he goes about his business. There’s a reason we didn’t want to expose him to the waiver wire and have someone poach him after the preseason. We see a bright future for this guy, and he’s done nothing but steadily improve over the course of the season.”

“The coaches trust him,” Johnson said of Jahdae Walker.

Walker is only a rookie, and the sky is truly the limit for him going forward.
