Jaxson Dart came to New York with high expectations. The New York Giants made him their starting quarterback midway through last season. Fans quickly supported him. He replaced Russell Wilson and gave the team new hope.

But his NFL life does not look as glamorous as his college days.

A recent Instagram reel from @Lexi_Ang showed Dart flying in economy class over the weekend. Her son recognized Dart right away on the plane. After landing, Dart stopped to take a photo with the boy. The moment felt real and kind. It also started a legit conversation about how different his lifestyle is now compared to college.

From Private Jets At Ole Miss To Economy Seats In The NFL

During his time at the Ole Miss Rebels football, Dart lived very differently. He benefited heavily from college football’s NIL rules. Several companies signed him to deals. One of the most notable came from Nicholas Air.

The Oxford-based private jet company gave Dart access to a fleet of seven jets. Those aircraft ranged from 356 to 1,884 cubic feet of cabin space. The agreement allowed him to use the planes for “travel, training and philanthropy.” That setup gave him a level of comfort few college athletes ever see.

Now, as a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft and the starting quarterback in the league’s biggest market, Jaxson Dart now flies on regular commercial planes.

The difference is clear. In college at Ole Miss Rebels, he often traveled on private jets. In the NFL with the New York Giants, he waits in line like everyone else.

Still, Dart does not seem upset about it. In the video, he looked calm and friendly. He smiled, took a photo, and made a young fan happy.

Flying economy is not a struggle. Dart still plays in the NFL and earns a professional salary. But some people are surprised. Many assume pro athletes always live in luxury.

Right now, Giants fans care more about wins than plane seats. If Dart keeps playing well, no one in New York will worry about how he travels.
