ESPN analyst Chiney Ogwumike has implied that WNBA star A’ja Wilson’s dominance is more impressive than Tom Brady’s career, sparking some harsh reactions.

Ogwumike dismissed Brady’s run of championships as “boring,” contrasting his style with Wilson’s impact.

“Tom’s winning is boring. That don’t apply to A’ja. A’ja is more interesting than Tom. A’ja is that girl,” she said on her ‘Chiney Today’ podcast.

Ogwumike added that Wilson’s presence transcends the court, noting her ability to “step off the court like she’s in Fashion Week.”

“Making a “safe space” before saying something stupid. Too many people talk for a living,” someone wrote in the comments.

“Another asinine take. Quarterback is the hardest position in all of sports! ALL OF SPORTS!!!! Smh,” said another.

“7 titles in the NFL might be a tad more impressive😂,” one user joked.

“Her brand of basketball is dominant but not the most entertaining,” someone else wrote.

Wilson, 29, has established herself as one of the most decorated players in WNBA history. She has led the Las Vegas Aces to three championships in 2020, 2022, and 2023.

Wilson is the first player in league history to win four MVP awards. She averaged 25 points, nine rebounds, and two blocks per game in 2025. She is also a two‑time Defensive Player of the Year and has been named to multiple All‑WNBA teams.

Brady, 48, retired in 2022 after 23 NFL seasons. His career includes seven Super Bowl championships, three league MVP awards, and records for passing yards and touchdowns. Brady appeared in ten Super Bowls, winning more titles than any single NFL franchise.

He is also a five‑time Super Bowl MVP and was selected to 15 Pro Bowls.

Ironically, Brady is a minority Aces owner, having officially joined the ownership group in 2023.
