Tennessee Titans running back Julius Chestnut is claiming that Jacksonville Jaguars punter Logan Cooke threatened to kill him during Sunday’s 25-3 loss. You read that correctly.

A punter allegedly sent a death threat in the middle of a game.

The incident went down late in the third quarter when Chestnut blocked Cooke as the punter tried to trip Titans returner Chimere Dike during a 47-yard return. Cooke was hurt and evaluated for a possible concussion, but returned to punt later in the game.

Multiple scuffles occurred during the game, one of which included Jags quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

A second scuffle further went down after Dike’s 13-yard return, with Chestnut and Cooke facing off again. Penalties were thrown, and Titans safety Mike Brown was ejected. Logan Cooke and long snapper Ross Matiscik were flagged for the Jags.

The Jaguars went on to a 25-3 win; however, Julius Chestnut had a story to tell after the game.

Julius Chestnut Says Logan Cooke Threatened To Take His Life

Tennessee running back Julius Chestnut (36) is thrown to the ground by Jacksonville defensive end Emmanuel Ogbah (90) and long snapper Ross Matiscik (46) during a skirmish after a Jacksonville punt in the fourth quarter of their game at Nissan Stadium Sunday, Nov. 30, 2025.

What seemed like trash talk took a serious tone during the Jacksonville Jaguars’ 25-3 win over the Tennessee Titans on Sunday.

According to Associated Press, Tennessee running back Julius Chestnut says Jaguars’ punter Logan Cooke said he was going to kill him during the matchup in Nashville.

“I was just trying to play hard, and he came up to me and said he was going to kill me,” Chestnut said. “So I don’t know what made him do that. That was surprising to me. I ain’t never seen nothing like that before.”

Chestnut said Cooke may have been mad about an earlier play, in which Chestnut blocked Logan Cooke, but he never got an explanation from Cooke on why the punter was mad.

Cooke has been with the Jaguars since 2018, when the team selected him in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.

Unless there is audio of him saying the threat, he is unlikely to face punishment following Chestnut’s accusation.
