Stefon Diggs’s team is trying to secure the number one seed, and he has a case over his head. Another one.
In October, Diggs was sued by his ex-girlfriend, Mulan Hernandez. She made claims that he physically attacked her during their brief relationship in 2024. Hernandez added that he later tried to silence her with a non-disclosure agreement.
According to Page Six, she alleged that Stefon punched her from behind in the back of her head. She further alleged that “almost immediately” after the incident, Diggs “mounted an effort to induce [her] into signing a non-disclosure agreement so that [his] malicious and egregious act would be kept from the NFL and from public view.”
Controversy has found Stefon Diggs just months later.
Stefon Diggs’ Lawyer Speaks Out On His New Charges

The New England Patriots’ wide receiver is facing a felony strangulation or suffocation charge. That comes along with misdemeanor assault. The charges were filed Monday, Dec. 29, in Dedham District Court.
According to Boston 25 News, Diggs’ attorney, Michael DiStefano, appealed to have the police report impounded. He argued that the details of the incident report should remain sealed. His second attorney also spoke out.
Attorney David Meier shared an exclusive statement with TMZ Sports.
“Stefon Diggs categorically denies these allegations. They are unsubstantiated, uncorroborated, and were never investigated — because they did not occur. The timing and motivation for making the allegations is crystal clear: they are the direct result of an employee-employer financial dispute that was not resolved to the employee’s satisfaction. Stefon looks forward to establishing the truth in a court of law.”
