Stephen A Smith has responded to Jason Whitlock following the latter’s interview with Cam Newton.

Whitlock and Newton broke bread in one of the unlikeliest media moments ever, with the ‘Fearless’ host joining the former NFL quarterback on his podcast for a candid discussion.

There was previously no love lost between Cam and Jason, so the sitdown really came out of left field. We can safely assume that there will never be one between Whitlock and Stephen A.

Whitlock referred to the ESPN personality as a “fraud” during the interview, claiming that Smith has been lying about his high school and college basketball career. It’s an accusation he has been making for some time now.

The former colleagues have done this dance before. Stephen A. infamously called Whitlock a “b**ch” and “fat bas***d” on his ‘Stephen A. Smith Show’ in 2024 and vowed he would never speak of him again.

Yet here we are…

Stephen A Smith Considers Gofundme For Jason Whitlock

This time, taking to his ‘Straight Shooter’ podcast on SiriusXM, Smith went back at Whitlock, telling him he can’t “f**k” with him. He also bragged about being in a better financial position than Whitlock, even taking his wallet out and making it rain… somewhat.

Smith also offered to start up a Gofundme to help Whitlock, referring to him as “Fat Bas***d Lock.”

He eventually turned to Newton.

“Cam Newton, next time, my brother, cause you know I love you, you gonna interview somebody and bring me up? Don’t just sit there and let them talk s**t. Ask questions,” he said.

“Let them prove it. I’m a fraud? How? What facts do you have?” he added. I’m sitting there doing an interview with Graham Bensinger the other day and I talked about how growing up as a teenager, I saw a few people get murdered…I’m lying about that according to Jason Whitlock, like he was in Hollis Queens, New York 40-plus years ago. How would he know? I’m a fraud, how do you know? I didn’t write my own book, how do you know?”

“If you’re gonna bring me up and you’re somebody that’s in my inner circle and you talk to me, grill them,” he advised. Don’t just let them talk smack.”

Whitlock has, of course, responded. Stay tuned.
