Super Bowl 60 will bring music and football together in a huge way this weekend. Bad Bunny will perform at the halftime show. Green Day will perform before the game. Many other famous artists will also perform at events across San Francisco as fans arrive in the city.

But the busy entertainment schedule faced a surprise on Friday. Country singer Luke Combs canceled his planned performance at the EA Sports Madden Bowl. The decision came at the last moment and surprised fans. Event organizers quickly made changes to keep the show running smoothly.

EA Sports broke the news on Instagram. The company explained the situation in a short statement.

“Update: Luke has to hold it down at home with a new one on the way,” officials wrote.“All love for Luke and his family. We can’t wait to put on an unforgettable Madden Bowl with Zach Bryan leading an incredible night of music and football for the fans.”

Zach Bryan stepped up right away and filled the open spot. The popular country singer joined a strong lineup at the Chase Center in San Francisco. Teddy Swims, Stephen Wilson Jr., Gavin Adcock, and rapper LaRussell also performed during the event.

Bryan delivered the main performance and kept the energy high. NFL star Christian McCaffrey even joined him on stage to add to the excitement. Fans inside the arena still enjoyed a full night of music and football culture despite the sudden switch.

Combs later explained his decision to skip the show. He and his wife, Nicole Hocking, expect their third child together. Family matters took priority over the appearance. “So sorry to miss y’all at Madden Bowl, but family always comes first,” Combs wrote. “Have a great time.”

The Madden Bowl is one of the biggest events before the Super Bowl every year. The celebration includes the official media welcome party, a live esports tournament, and the annual Madden NFL Super Bowl prediction. Famous gamers, athletes, and content creators all join the event. It gives fans more ways to enjoy football before the big game.

Super Bowl LX will still feature plenty of star power despite the last-minute change. Bad Bunny and Green Day will be there as usual. Many other artists will also join them.

The game will kick off at 6 p.m. Eastern Time on NBC. Millions of fans around the world will watch the game.
