Lamar Jackson may already know who he wants to be his next head coach. However, he might not be in Baltimore to play for whoever they hire to replace John Harbaugh.

As talented a player as he is, Jackson hasn’t signed a contract extension with the Baltimore Ravens. More than that, the team might be considering blowing things up and starting over from scratch after parting ways with Harbaugh.

With that in mind, NFL insider Mike Florio believes an AFC West team could make the most of this situation. In a recent column, he predicted that the Las Vegas Raiders could trade the No. 1 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft to get Jackson:

“The first pick, which would give the Ravens a straight shot at quarterback Fernando Mendoza (or the ability to re-trade the pick for a king’s ransom), for the two-time MVP who is now 29 and often injured,” wrote Florio.

Florio cited Raiders minority owner Tom Brady as the primary reason. He’s a competitive monster, and he’s not happy with the way things ended last season.

“Tom Brady feels compelled to do something,” Florio added. “‘It may not work, but just do something. It doesn’t seem like they’re doing anything. Last year, it was just kind of like rearranging the furniture. This year, people are expecting him to do something big.”

That type of big move would certainly be right down Brady’s alley.

Lamar Jackson Doesn’t Know What The Future Holds For Him

This isn’t the first time that Jackson has been in the midst of some trade speculation. As such, he knows not to get too caught up in the heat of the moment.

That’s why he didn’t want to make any comments at the end of the season. When asked about his future, the two-time MVP just took the high road:

“You’re asking me about next year,” Jackson told the media after the loss, per Pro Football Talk. “I’m so caught up in what just happened tonight, I can’t focus on that right now. I just told you. I’m stunned right now. I’m still trying to process what’s going on.”

Jackson is arguably the best dual-threat quarterback in NFL history. His lack of postseason success is a stain on his otherwise perfect résumé. Still, if made available, he will have no shortage of suitors, that’s for sure.
