Taylor Swift’s reported wedding plans with Travis Kelce is creating a lot of chatter this week. Page Six reported on Thursday that the singer planned to marry the Kansas City Chiefs tight end on June 13, 2026, at the Ocean House resort in Watch Hill, Rhode Island. The report also claimed that Swift paid another couple a large sum to move their own wedding date.

Fans reacted quickly. Many called her “entitled” and felt she went too far. The story spread online, and people argued about whether she overstepped while planning the big day with Kelce.

Swift and Kelce’s teams didn’t respond to Page Six. But the next day, Ocean House denied the claims.

Stephanie Leavitt, the resort’s Area Director for Sales and Marketing, told TMZ, “When clients and their families choose Ocean House as their wedding venue, it is an agreement and commitment between our team and that family. Ocean House would not and is not allowing another party or entity to buy a wedding group out of a contracted wedding date.”

Fans React, But Swift Is Having Other Plans

The online reaction turned sharp.

One fan said, “She’s becoming Kim Kardashian entitled right before our eyes.”

Another wrote, “I think it’s fucking sickening for any celebrity to do this.”

A third simply said, “Zero class.” The tone of the comments showed how quickly the story hit a nerve.

The report got attention for another reason. Ocean House is well-known in NFL circles because Christian McCaffrey and Olivia Culpo got married there in 2024. The resort is also close to Swift’s Rhode Island home, which made it an obvious choice after her rumored wedding plans in Italy didn’t work out.

A source told the US Sun that Swift planned major changes at the venue, including $1.2 million in gardening work, saying, “Taylor dreams of being fully surrounded by flowers, with lush floral bushes everywhere, making her teenage dream of marrying in a sea of flowers come true.”

The source also said, “She wants the entire celebration to feel like a wave of flowers, with arrangements of white, purple, and pink orchids, plus blue, white, and pink hydrangeas, and peonies in pink, white, and red tones.”

The reported date carries personal meaning for Swift. She was born on Dec. 13, and she often talks about thirteen as her lucky number. The date also breaks down to 6/13/26, which adds up to 18. Numerology.com says the number nine, which is a factor of 18, marks the end of a cycle.

Whether the story holds up or not, the reaction shows how fans are involved in their life, even years before the wedding.
