Taylor Swift & Travis Kelce Shock Dolly Parton With $2 Million Donation

Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift made a great charitable gesture before they were officially married in New York City. The couple donated a total of $26 million to 20 local and national charities, according to reports.
Among those donations, they gave $2 million to Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library. The longtime book gifting program sends free books to children every month, no matter their family’s income. The charity has helped millions of children since Dolly Parton launched it in 1995.
The donation caught Parton’s attention. She thanked the couple in a heartfelt video shared on Instagram and praised their support for the program.
Dolly Parton Shares Her Gratitude
Parton spoke directly to Kelce and Swift after learning about the donation.
“Taylor and Travis, it’s Dolly, and I was just told that you two were making a donation of $2 million to my Imagination Library,” Parton said. “I’m blown away and overjoyed with that gratitude.”
The country music icon has often spoken about why the program means so much to her. In an earlier interview with CBS, she explained that every child receives a book with their own name on it.
“They get this book once a month in the mailbox with their little name on it, not in the care of daddy or mommy,” Parton said. “It’s their little name on that book. So that’s special to them.”
The Imagination Library started in 1995 and reached its first one million mailed books in less than 10 years. Today, the program continues to provide free books to children across many communities.
Kelce and Swift also supported several other charities through their recent giving. Reports said their donations reached organizations such as Food Bank For NYC and City Harvest.
Their charitable efforts came during an already expensive year. CNN reported, “One luxury wedding planner, who spoke on the condition of anonymity, citing the privacy expectations of her clientele, estimated a luxury wedding at the Garden could cost from $15 million to $20 million.”
Even with those wedding costs, Kelce and Swift still made charity a priority. Their support for multiple organizations, including Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, added another significant act of giving to a year already filled with news.
