Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour Dancer Faces Backlash Over Controversial Wedding Dress Choice [VIDEO]

One of Taylor Swift’s longtime Eras Tour dancers, Tori Evans, is going viral for an unexpected reason.

Evans shared a video from Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding weekend. However, fans focused less on the celebration and more on what she wore.

The choreographer posted a TikTok video showing off her outfit before the ceremony at Madison Square Garden. She captioned it with a lyric from Swift’s hit song ‘Blank Space.’

The comments quickly shifted toward the color of her dress.

Some fans believed the gown looked too close to white. Traditionally, wedding etiquette reserves white for the bride. Others defended Evans and argued the lighting made the dress appear lighter than it actually was. Several viewers described it as a champagne pink color instead.

The debate quickly spread across social media.

“She wore white to a wedding? You never wear white to a wedding, unless you’re the bride!” one comment read.

“Wearing white to another person’s wedding is TACKY. It is even worse when you are specifically asked not to. Which everyone was,” someone claimed.

“jfc these shoes r a crime too,” said a third.

Another user argued, “It has a mix of what looks to be champagne and a little pale pink, if I’m looking correctly. Please stop the discourse on my page. I’m not here for negativity.”

Someone else claimed, “If a wedding guest dress is so light in a particular color that “different lighting” makes it look fully straight up white and not “light pink” or “champagne” or whatever, for all intents and purposes, the guest wore a white dress to the wedding.”

“Did Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour dancer just commit the ultimate wedding sin?!” one account asked.

Evans spent more than a year as one of the featured dancers on Swift’s record-breaking Eras Tour. 

The global tour ran from March 2023 through December 2024 and included 149 shows across five continents. It became the highest-grossing concert tour in history and introduced millions of fans to Swift’s dance team.

Before joining the Eras Tour, Evans built an extensive resume in the entertainment industry.

She trained in tap, jazz and ballet before graduating from the University of Arizona’s dance program. Her professional credits include performances with Beyoncé, Cardi B, Bad Bunny, Pitbull, Jennifer Hudson and The Weeknd. She has also appeared on television shows including ‘The Voice,’ ‘The Masked Singer’ and ‘The Price Is Right.’

Evans’ husband, actor and former Virginia Tech football player T.J. Shaw, defended the outfit in the comments. He insisted the dress was “pink champagne” and said the lighting made it appear much lighter than it was.

“DRESS IS PINK CHAMPAGNE color for everyone that doesn’t understand lighting😂” he wrote under the original post.

Still, the debate continues.
