With Maxx Crosby back on the trade block, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones has a second chance to make the potential franchise-altering deal.

In a stunning development, the Baltimore Ravens announced on Tuesday that they were nixing the blockbuster trade for Maxx Crosby. Last week, the Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders agreed to a deal that would send Crosby to Baltimore for two first-round picks.

As it turns out, Crosby failed a physical, which led the Ravens to scrap the trade. And so, the five-time Pro Bowler is back on the market.

So, where does this leave Dallas in a potential second pursuit of Crosby?

According to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero, Dallas “would still be interested in a Maxx Crosby trade if,” the nixed trade with the Raiders and Ravens indeed stemmed from a failed physical.

Last week, it was reported that the Cowboys had offered first and second-round picks for Crosby. So, Jerry Jones will have to prepare to up his offer if he’s to make a deal for the 28-year-old superstar.

Which Other Teams Should Try Acquiring Maxx Crosby?

The Ravens are out of the Crosby sweepstakes, and the Cowboys immediately become the team to monitor here. But which other clubs could seriously emerge as threats to land the five-time Pro Bowler?

Ben Johnson’s Chicago Bears need a stud pass rusher and have the incentive to make a move for Crosby. The Detroit Lions and Philadelphia Eagles are in win-now mode and have the assets to make a blockbuster deal.

The Buffalo Bills might want to consider pursuing Crosby, given their lack of game-changing players on defense. And of course, you have to consider the New England Patriots after their surprise season.
