The Baltimore Ravens might want to send free tickets to one of their fans who got completely screwed by the club’s decision to nix the Maxx Crosby trade.
Last week, the Ravens and Las Vegas Raiders reached an agreement on a Maxx Crosby trade. The Ravens were to send two first-round picks to the Raiders for the five-time Pro Bowl defensive end.
But on Tuesday evening, the Raiders announced that the Ravens backed out of the Crosby trade. The Ravens reportedly made the decision after Crosby failed a physical.
It’s easy to feel for Ravens fans, who felt all that excitement for nothing. But if you want to shed an extra tear, you may as well do so for a Ravens fan named Nate, who uses the @Hamilton_DPOY handle on X/Twitter.
Days before the trade was initially announced, Nate promised to shave his head if the Ravens landed Maxx Crosby. Here’s the proof:
If the ravens happen to to trade for Maxx Crosby, I will completely shave my head

35 minutes before the Raiders announced that the Ravens nixed the trade, Nate shared a photo of his shaved head:

Well, at least Nate can enjoy a few days of internet fame. And hey, his hair will eventually grow back.
Agent Says Maxx Crosby Is Ahead Of Schedule On Recovery

In January, the 28-year-old Crosby underwent surgery on a torn meniscus in his left knee. Crosby’s agent, CJ LaBoy, put out the following statement on X, indicating that his recovery is going just fine:
Maxx continues to be on track in his recovery and if anything is ahead of schedule according to his surgeon Dr Neal El Attrache. Maxx remains on track to return during the offseason program & will undoubtedly return as the dominant game wrecker he has been these past 7 seasons.

After the trade fell through, NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero reported that the Dallas Cowboys still have interest in Crosby. The Cowboys reportedly offered first and second-round picks to Vegas for Crosby. Perhaps Jerry Jones will be extra motivated to close a deal and increase his offer.
It will also be interesting to see what the Ravens’ front office does now. They desperately need help on the defensive line, but there aren’t many big-name edge rushers left on the free agent market.’
