Former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow asked fans for their support. He prepared to testify in front of the United States Senate on Tuesday.
During an August appearance on FOX News, the retired quarterback warned about the dangers of child trafficking and the epidemic of child sexual abuse material online. Ahead of his hearing to ask Congress to pass the Renewed Hope Act, Tebow asked people to pray for his team.
“Please keep our team in your prayers for strength and wisdom today as we embark on an important mission,” Tebow said. “We will be testifying in front of the Senate on behalf of child exploitation victims and survivors.”
Tim Tebow’s Foundation Shares Statement To Confirm Battle Against Child Sexual Exploitation

At the same time, the former Denver Broncos star shared a statement from his foundation before testifying. They explained why the Renewed Hope Act can make the country a safer place for children. It would also help law enforcement bring criminals to justice more easily.
“While there are so many heroes working to identify and protect children who are being sexually exploited, they are simply overwhelmed, under-resourced, and outnumbered by offenders. Identifying one child is a labor-intensive process. Victim identification specialists must piece together clues from the images that can lead to the child’s country, city, or specific location. Only then can local law enforcement bring that child to safety and arrest the perpetrator,” the Tim Tebow Foundation wrote.
Tebow and his wife, former Miss Universe winner Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters, have worked hard to help children. This should make a difference in plenty of kids’ lives.
